Philosophy

We believe…

  • In equal opportunity for all youth to play their chosen sport regardless of ability level.
  • In equal game participation for all players.
  • That participation in youth sports should be a joyous experience.
  • That competition, winning and losing is healthy to youth development when experienced first with proper attitude and sportsmanship.
  • That youth competition establishes physical, mental and emotional patterns in youth and subsequently affects their entire life.
  • That the family is a God-directed institution and is encouraged to participate in its entirety.
  • That youth coaches should instruct and encourage participants while controlling their own desire for power, authority and attention.
  • That our greatest example is JESUS CHRIST and that we should perform as He performed; desiring to do the will of His Father.
  • That the result of this work is measured by seeing our youth demonstrate the following attitudes as a reflection of our own:
Love - through self-sacrifice
Joy - through unchanging gladness
Peace - under all circumstances
Patience - during moments of trial
Kindness - in our dealings with others
Goodness - through our genuine interest
Faithfulness - through consistent, reliable trust
Gentleness - towards actions and reputation of others
Self-Control - over selfish desires and impulses
